Agro de Bazan was established in 1982 on the fertile lands of Rías Baixas, which is situated within Galicia. After operating for over 30 years, the winery has remained true to its ideology of producing high quality wines and have gained international recognition for producing some of the best Albariños.
Agro de Bazan continues to practices strict viticulture to ensure excellence.The vineyards are untilled with permanent natural covers such as mint, dandelions and a dozen of other herbs. In addition, the winery does not implement the use of herbicides or chemically synthesized nutrients. The grass is cut for mulch three times a year and no fertilizers are used. The plantation enjoys a very low density, with an average of 800 plants per hectare.
As a testament to maintaining excellence throughout the years, Agro de Bazan consistently receives high scores and stellar reviews. A most recent example of their ongoing commitment to excellence is showcased with the 2018 Granbazan Etiqueta Ambar, which received 94 points from James Suckling.
