Wine Tasting 101 | Coup De Coeur Red Wine Selling at 100 MPH | Alcohol Online

Who does not love a wine tasting? There is an opulent feel to it. The conversation is also intriguing.

It often brings on a feel of seeing a long lost friend. More importantly, you get to learn from the experts in the field along with those that have such pride and passion for their wine!

Whether it is at a vineyard or a special locale, the positives are always on the up and up! Even local tastings in someone’s home can be an unforgettable experience .

BUT...

We have to remember etiquette in relation to the event or the winemaker's invitation to you and yours!

PACE

Heard the expression, "pick up the pace"? Well, it does NOT apply at a wine tasting! Do not mute those senses by overindulgence! . If visiting multiple vineyards, no more than two glasses at your first stop. If in a private setting, remember you want to be invited back. (Unless you are just such a rebel, then wine tastings are not your thing. You will be better suited for a college football tailgate!)

SWIRL AND SWIRL SOME MORE

Swirl the wine, it releases aromas, and sniff before drinking.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

Open your mind and your nose and keep learning while staying within those four corners if you will!

LAY OFF THAT 400 DOLLAR BOTTLE OF YSL BLACK OPIUM

Our taste is seminally influenced by what we first smell.

ONLY ONE CHANCE TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION

If you were a "chugger" in undergrad or grad school, leave that for those exams that you dominated and we are happy to be heading in the right direction. Now that you are "here" or "there", keep heading there!

FOCUS IN - GET SOME SLEEP BEFOREHAND

Leave the side conversations for after. Focus is key to learning about wine and enjoying the experience. Be rested because that quad espresso is not going to save you at the event and you will kill your taste buds!

TO DISCARD OR NOT TO DISCARD OF THE WINE DANS LA BOUCHE

It’s actually OK for people to spit directly into the pour bucket. Don’t take offense.

NO GETTING BEHIND THE WHEEL

Even if you sophisticatedly spitting into the "pour bucket", arrange for transportation afterward. Who knows which "happy law enforcement officer" you will get wherever you are in the world and certainly having alcohol on the breath can leave to unnecessary detours afterwards and in life!

COUP DE COEUR

ONCE WE GET BACK TO NORMAL or "NEW NORMAL", we look forward to hosting at a location TBD and TBA with the COUP DE COEUR. We are very honoured to be exclusively selling the wine online.

We will have a more extensive blog on the creators and partners that have brought this wine to fruition. Also, an informative video is coming your way as well. It will highlight the sommeliers, the winemaker and the Founder of Victory that have worked tirelessly to bring you this gem in a bottle!

Until the next tasting, enjoy having us deliver it to your home with contactless delivery! Stay safe and sophisticated!
