ORGANIC wines versus organically grown wines - distinction without a difference? | Buy Organic Wine

All of these wine terms, what is the difference? Distinctions without a difference? Are they the same or are they different?

LET"S LEARN

So we can yearn what we really love!

MURKY WATERS?

Well not really. Dive in deep and thirst for better knowledge and better wine. Well, nothing is good neither bad and only thinking makes it so said the great William Shakespeare!

With the development of wines, we cannot be that black or white! Simplification but not oversimplification!

They can intersect but they can also be out on their onw islands!

ORGANIC VERSUS ORGANICALLY GROWN!

Orangic means the grapes are grown without (sans for all our French people out there) the use of synthetic fertilizers, and all ingredients going into these wines, which includes yeast, must be certified organic. No sulfites may be added to these wines, although some that occur naturally are permitted. Only these wines may display the USDA organic seal.

YES NO SULFITES

We will be chatting about this on the regular!

But what about made with organically grown grapes - what is the difference there?

“Made with organically grown grapes” means the wine must be made entirely from certified organic grapes. Additional ingredients used in the winemaking process need not be organic, but they cannot be produced with the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.
